GOVERNMENT ENGINEER LEADERSHIP PROGRAM |

Coming 2026!
Application Process Opens Early November 2025
The Kansas Society of Professional Engineers and Missouri Society of Professional Engineers are teaming up to launch the Government Engineers Leadership Program (GELP) in 2026. This program, exclusively offered to MSPE/KSPE members working in the government sector, is for individuals committed to developing their leadership abilities.
This program imparts specific skills and competencies utilizing highly interactive sessions taught by experts in the field of engineering, business administration, government affairs and people management in government and professional services firms. Program attendees will participate in structured professional development sessions, build their network through meaningful connections, and gain hands-on experience with guidance from industry mentors.
Inaugural Class
Class sizes will be limited to 20. City, county, state and federal authorities, and other municipal/government entities may register one or more people to the program, each year. Registration priority is given to first-come, first-served. A waiting list will be maintained.
Attendees must be present at all sessions. If more than half of one session is missed, that session must be attended the following year to graduate. Only the attendees registered may attend the sessions. PDH certificates will be provided at the end of the program.
