What is the Stream Clean?
The Stream Clean is an event to pick up trash and debris from your assigned park and the areas adjacent to the stream. For the sake of safety, we ask that volunteers not get in the water itself, but that they pick up from the edge of the park and up to the areas adjacent to the stream that they can easily and safely clean.
Volunteers Should:
· Wear long pants, a long sleeve shirt and closed toe shoes (no sandals or Crocs). Sunglasses and a hat are also encouraged.
· Not overreach or climb down steep banks as no piece of trash is worth risking an injury.
· Not attempt to remove or haul heavy objects. Let me know about the object and where it is located and I'll pass it on to our Parks Department.
· Stay hydrated. Take a (reusable) bottle of water to drink.
Trash bags & gloves will be provided.
